On Thursday 10 November, our Medical Negligence
and Personal
Injury department hosted a quiz night
for Action against Medical
Accidents (AvMA), the independent
charity which promotes better patient safety and justice for people
who have been affected by a medical accident.
Hosted by Samantha Critchley,
teams from across the Medical Negligence
and Personal Injury department,
AvMA and leading
barristers chambers enjoyed an evening of friendly competition in
the London office seminar room, with quiz rounds featuring
questions on pop culture, news, sport and music.
Sam says, “It was a great evening, raising vital funds for
AvMA. We
support AvMA in
their work, in particular the campaign against the Government Bill,
currently going through Parliament which seeks to take away legal
aid for clinical negligence cases. We believe that the
proposals will deny access to justice for people who have been
injured as a result of medical negligence, as well as harming
patient safety."
"Congratulations to the victors on the night, 1 Crown Office
Row!"
