Samantha Critchley, partner in the
Medical Negligence department, ran the 10th British London Run to
help raise vital funds for the Child Brain Injury Trust
(CBIT) in July
2011.
Samantha raised a
massive £920 by completing the run
on Sunday 11 July and with gift aid the total raised for the charity is
£1146.
The CBIT helps children, young people, their families and
professionals to come to terms with what has happened and how to
deal with the uncertainty that the future holds.
Every 30 minutes, a child or young person will acquire a brain
injury. This could be the result of an accident, an illness such as
meningitis or encephalitis, a poisoning, a stroke or a brain
tumour. A brain injury has a devastating and life-long impact
on the child and their whole family.
Samantha has helped raised thousands of pounds across the years
by being a regular runner in this event for the CBIT. This year
Samantha finished the race in under an hour.
