Our asbestos team able to obtain damages in an asbestosis claim for an 80 year old gentleman in
the the total sum of £40,000 together with costs. Matthew developed
asbestosis following his work as a maintenance carpenter in the
late 1960's. Despite having other unrelated health issues, and
despite his age, we were able to negotiate a favourable settlement
with Matthew's employer's insurers on the basis that
Matthew still had restrictive lung disease caused by his asbestos
exposure which was impairing his life over and above his other
