CBIT Charity Ball

On Saturday 21 March 2009, Sam Critchley and Mark Bowman attended The Child Brain Injury Trust's ("CBIT") "A Night with the Stars" evening at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford.

The evening comprised of a gala dinner and awards ceremony, celebrating the achievements of amazing children, parents and professionals whose lives have been affected by children with acquired brain injuries.

As well as recognising the above, the evening was also a chance for CBIT to raise further funds for their valuable work in assisting children with acquired brain injuries. A number of auctions took place with prizes including a holiday for four to Greece, signed Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo football shirts and 2 tickets to watch the Ashes this Summer.

Sadly both Sam and Mark were outbid for the above items but both had more luck in the silent auction where Sam won a miniature cricket bat signed by Nasser Hussain and Mark won a flying lesson in a Piper Cherokee.
Guests were treated to a fantastic three course dinner, and after dinner entertainment was provided by the world famous Paul Daniels, (photographed above, looking very pleased with himself, with Sam and Mark).
A total of over £7,000 was raised on the evening and you can donate further funds to CBIT by sponsoring Sam in the British London 10km run on 12 July 2009 by visiting her sponsorship page.
