Plan to cut medical negligence bill

Plans are being made to reduce the amount of money spent on medical negligence payouts - which have cost £82 million in three years.

Victims of botched operations may no longer get legal aid to sue the NHS, according to the Daily Mail.

More money is spent on legal aid in England and Wales than most countries around the world and the Chancellor is trying to slice 25% off the Justice Ministry's £9billion-a-year budget.

Since 1997, the legal aid budget has risen by £500 million.
