Dushal Mehta, solicitor in our
asbestos team, has recently had an
article published in
PI Focus, a magazine published by the Association of Personal
Injury Lawyers (APIL).
The article focuses on Dushal's case which he pursued on behalf
of his client, whose husband had died from mesothelioma in
2007.
Our client's husband, had worked as a self employed (labour only)
contractor for many years, and was exposed to asbestos during this
period.
The argument centred on whether he, as a labour only sub-contractor, was
covered under the employer's liability insurance policy.
Our argument that he was covered was successful and Dushal
secured compensation for our client as a result.
