The Personal Injury team has made a
£10,000 donation to brain injury association Headway’s North London
team thanks to a trust administered by Field Fisher Waterhouse.
Brain injury specialist Jill
Greenfield, who is a patron of Headway, put forward a proposal
to the trustees of the Southweare Samaritan Trust, a fund
established by the partners of Waterhouse & Co in 1960 to make
donations to organisations in respect of care for people who are
disabled and/or suffering as a result of accidents and disease.
Jill says, “We have a strong and long-term relationship with
Headway which provides invaluable support to people affected by
brain injury. To be able to donate this funding will help the
charity provide additional support and vital services including
rehabilitation programmes, carer support, social re-integration,
community outreach and respite care to those who need it
most.”
Headway trustee Julie Bridgewater adds, “In these difficult
times for charitable organisations, this donation is very welcome
indeed and will help to provide us with the means to continue our
important work in supporting those affected by brain injury,
together with their family and friends.”
