Edwina is on the Law Society's Medical
Negligence Panel and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers
(APIL).
Edwina has been interviewed and quoted in the press on a number
of issues, including hospital infections, alternative therapies and
cosmetic surgery. Edwina has been:
Edwina is actively involved in a number of
campaigns to improve patient safety. She works closely with
AvMA (Action for Victims of Medical
Accidents) on Government policy for cosmetic surgery and hospital
acquired infections, and has been appointed Special Advisor to AvMA
on cosmetic surgery issues. She is also involved in a campaign to
improve antenatal screening in pregnancy.
Edwina gives regular presentations to other
lawyers on the law, including for AvMA and APIL. She has also contributed
to Cordery - On Solicitors and to the APIL Guide to
Evidence, due for release in April 2011.
Edwina also taught Tort law at City
University, London, for a number of years.
