• £7.3 million for a baby who suffered severe brain damage as a result of failings during birth
• £2 million for a young man with brain damage as a result of failing to diagnose meningitis when he was a baby
• Compensation for a client who nearly died following a hospital-acquired infection caused by a superbug
• £700,000 as a part-payment for a baby who suffered severe brain damage as a result of failings during the baby's birth. (Further payments will be made when the child is older)
• £665,000 for a man who had to undergo leg amputation following treatment
• £400,000 for two daughters of a mother who died when she was taken to the wrong ward after undergoing thyroid surgery
• £107,500 for a husband and teenage daughter of a woman who died from pancreatitis after she was wrongly discharged from hospital
• £120,000 for a father, mother, and grandmother for a stillbirth
• £95,000 for a man who suffered a failure to diagnose and treat ulcerative colitis

Edwina is on the Law Society's Medical Negligence Panel and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Edwina has been interviewed and quoted in the press on a number of issues, including hospital infections, alternative therapies and cosmetic surgery. Edwina has been: 

• interviewed by the Observer when she was suing a celebrity healer on behalf of a client who needed a double leg amputation after treatment
• spoken to the Guardian about the rise of the hospital infection, pseudomonas
• wrote an article on the substandard testing for Down's Syndrome and the legal ramifications
• quoted in the Guardian and Marie Claire in relation to the regulation of cosmetic surgery. She was also quoted in the Guardian and interviewed by BBC news on cosmetic surgery legal issues.

Edwina is actively involved in a number of campaigns to improve patient safety. She works closely with AvMA (Action for Victims of Medical Accidents) on Government policy for cosmetic surgery and hospital acquired infections, and has been appointed Special Advisor to AvMA on cosmetic surgery issues. She is also involved in a campaign to improve antenatal screening in pregnancy.

Edwina gives regular presentations to other lawyers on the law, including for AvMA and APIL.  She has also contributed to Cordery - On Solicitors and to the APIL Guide to Evidence, due for release in April 2011. 

Edwina also taught Tort law at City University, London, for a number of years.
