case for a boy who suffered brain damage prior to and during his
delivery, leaving him with dyskinetic and athetoid cerebral palsy
(overall value £2.25 million).
- settling an ophthalmic case following injury caused by diabetic
retinopathy for £300,000
- settling a personal injury claim for £250,000 after a man died
as a result of another person’s driving negligence
- settling a medical negligence claim for £220,000 after a man
was misdiagnosed as suffering from colitis instead of bowel cancer
from which he died as a result
- settling a medical negligence claim for £130,000 where a man
admitted to an A&E ward died following failure to act on the
fact that his airway was partially obstructed
- settling a claim for £125,000 damages where a patient was
diagnosed incorrectly and underwent unnecessary surgery, leaving
her with recurrent aches and pains as well as emotional
distress.
